Here at Latin Vintage, we strive to impact the Richmond,VA community through the art of Music and Dance. We teach you everything you need to get you on the dance floor! From Beginners to Advanced levels, Latin Vintage offers a syllabus that’s easy to learn and follow. Self-progressive classes’ allow you learn at your own pace, repeating the moves from each class until you are comfortable with them. Our goal is to educate each person with the knowledge needed to dance with any type of partner. We pride ourselves on quality instruction, where your improvement is our main objective.

Julissa Cruz, Owner/Head Instructor
Native of Puerto Rico, Julissa Cruz is no stranger to rhythm. With a 17 year educational background that includes Salsa/Mambo, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Tap, and Musical Theatre; she is easily recognized as one of the most versatile performers/ choreographers in Latin Dance. She served as the director of the Salsa Heat Professional Dance Company of Orlando FL for 4 years, and has worked with world-renowned choreographers and dancers such as Troy Anthony, Gordon Neil, Andy Cruz and Kimberly Rivera. From Congresses to workshops to performing with recording artists Charlie Cruz and Tito Nieves, Julissa has been seen on various stages stretching from LA to Paris. She was the head choreographer of the first ever Salsa inspired theatrical production “Migue”, shown in April 2009, And has taught and performed in several countries during her 2009 Europe Tour. She moved to Richmond in 2009 and has been impacting the community with her expertise and ability to teach. Opening up Latin Vintage Productions, LLC. Julissa plans on bringing more members into the salsa community through the several classes, boot camps and events she offers, as well as the promotion of the culture throughout the world.
